As we began brainstorming what reopening would look like at Hickory Hill, we tried to come up with a way to do a tasting. Flights are the only way we can serve samples, but we were not keen on flights in disposable cups. So, we came up with a Tasting-in-a-Bag. If you have visited us before, you know we have been doing Picnics-in-a-Bag for years, so we thought it only fitting to keep the “in-a-bag” theme going.
This tasting flight includes a sample of each of our wines in a cup with a lid. Each lid is numbered and has a QR code that will take you to that wine’s webpage on this site. There you can read lots of information about the wine as well as its history and see what awards it has earned. There is a tasting list with the wines numbered to correspond to the lids and a pencil for documenting your thoughts as you taste. To complete the Tasting-in-a-Bag, you will receive a souvenir Hickory Hill wine glass to use to taste the samples. As we mentioned, we were not keen on tasting wine in a small disposable cup.
Cheers!
