The Furrows invite you to their 1923 farmhouse tasting room and gift shop to sample the fruits of their labor. The farmhouse is original to the estate and was given as a wedding present at the cost of $500. The farmhouse is the first on record in Bedford County to be in a woman’s name, Etta Ayers Cunduf Scruggs.

Since its first vintage in 2001, Hickory Hill Vineyard’s wines have consistently earned medals of excellence in wine competitions, with over 80 medals to date in state, national and international competitions.
Hickory Hill’s popular “Lake series” of blended wines are made in a light, fruit-forward style. For those preferring more traditional, drier wines, there is also estate-grown, award-winning Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Other options include Cabernet Franc and a yet to be released traditional Bordeaux blend.
Saturday nights in the summer vineyard ring with good music, good conversation, and laughing children chasing fireflies. Hickory Hill’s Sunset Saturday music series are evenings of affordable, local entertainment and a popular lake tradition since 2005.

We just left your vineyard and had a lovely experience! The reservation process was simple, and the service we experienced upon arrival was friendly and very efficient. The flights you provided were wonderful, and we especially enjoyed engaging with each wine through the QR codes — nice techy touch! Thank you for a great experience on such a gorgeous fall day!
